Counsel for the decisions that define a business, a family, or a life.
FBW LLP is a Toronto, Markham, and Oakville law firm founded by three partners with complementary practices in real estate, corporate law, commercial litigation, wills & estates, and immigration. Every engagement is partner‑led, fee‑disclosed at the outset, and answerable, from opening to close, by the partner whose name appears on your engagement letter.
A partnership, in the original sense of the word.
FBW LLP was founded on a straightforward premise: that individuals, families, and business owners deserve a firm where a partner is on every file — accountable from opening to close, reachable between meetings, and prepared to take the call when something unexpected arrives.
The firm's three founding partners — Seth Freedman, Perry Benipal, and Greg Wu — practise in complementary disciplines: commercial litigation, real estate, corporate and commercial law, and the private client work that often connects them. Our broader team extends that reach into immigration, wills & estates, employment, and family law, with a managing partner who holds the standard across three offices in Toronto, Markham, and Oakville.
We would rather be your firm for twenty years than your firm for one transaction. Many of our best client relationships have outlasted every other adviser in the file.
Documented, not claimed.
Our authority rests on what has been filed in court, signed at closings, approved by regulators, and written into agreements — not on the adjectives a firm chooses for itself.

Counsel across the decisions that define a life or a business.
We maintain a focused bench in the areas where our clients most often need counsel — and refer out, openly, in the areas where they don't.
Real Estate
Residential and commercial real estate counsel — from first‑time home purchases to multi‑unit investment acquisitions and commercial leasing.
Corporate & Commercial
Counsel for privately held businesses across their life cycle — formation, financing, commercial contracts, shareholder arrangements, and exits.
Commercial Litigation
Strategic representation in contractual, shareholder, real estate, and business disputes — at trial, on appeal, and in mediation.
Wills & Estates
Thoughtful estate planning, powers of attorney, and estate administration — with attention to the people, not just the paperwork.
Immigration
Canadian immigration counsel for individuals, families, investors, and the businesses that want to hire them.
Family Law
Confidential, strategic guidance through separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, and domestic agreements.
Employment
Employment and workplace counsel — from offer and employment agreements through performance management, termination, and disputes.
Tax
Practical tax structuring for business owners — corporate reorganisations, estate freezes, and everyday tax decisions that compound over time.
Three offices across the Greater Toronto Area.
We meet clients in the neighbourhoods where they live and do business. Every office is staffed by partners and associates — not just a conference‑room nameplate.
